Organic Farming
BOOTCAMP!
Join Urban Habitat Chicago for an intense ONE-DAY version of our recent Organic Gardening
Workshop Series, designed to enable both beginning and experienced farmers to master organic farming within the urban context.
Experienced ecological
designer and urban farmer Michael Repkin will give you the tools
to effectively create your own organic garden, or maximize yield from your urban farm. Essential organic agriculture techniques covered include fertilization, planting, pest-control, maintenance and harvest.
Students must be physically capable of working
outdoors for the whole day.

This special one-day, hands-on event will provide the background skills necessary to participants for our upcoming Saturday Fall Organic Farming Workshops from (Sept. 24 to Oct. 22), focused on cool weather farming. (Register at http://fallfarming.eventbrite.com)
